The MBA program offered at the Department of Management emphasizes managing for the 21st Century with a view to producing a new breed of Africa-minded leaders. It is a three-year double degree program. Students spend the first year on the Yaounde campus, travel to SPSU during their second year and return to Yaounde for their final year.
The program is open to graduates from all academic backgrounds and relies on industrial placements and the case method. The case method is a
simulation of current problems that managers face on a daily basis. The cases are presented to students in the classroom. Students work in groups to find solutions to those real life challenges. The proposed strategies are discussed in class. Oral contribution is a huge part of the learning experience and grading system.
The PKF Institute of Excellence MBA provides cases relevant and peculiar to the African business context, but the overall analysis is based on world standards. This is an added value for graduates who intend to work in Africa.
The quality of the MBA program is also enhanced by the enshrinement of industrial placements as an integral part of the teaching and learning processes and experience.
