The four-year Bachelor of Science degree (BSCS degree program) program in Computer Science is a double degree program designed for students wanting a maximum technical preparation for their career. The program covers the technical sections of the Computer Science and Software Engineering in order to give students access to the Bachelor’s degree in both programs during their stay at SPSU in their senior and final year.
Students spend three years on the Yaounde campus and travel to SPSU for their final and senior year.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science:
- provides graduates with a thorough grounding in key principles and practices of computing, and in the mathematical principles that underpin them
- provides graduates with an understanding of the ethical aspects of computing within society
- provides graduates with applicable communication and team skills to be used in computing careers
- prepares graduates for employment and leadership in the computing profession
- provides students with the computer skills lacking in sub-Saharan Africa
- equips graduates with the ability to effectively adapt computing principles to the African context.
